Easy Come Easy Go
Well that didn't take long! TS Colin got us (ok it got ME) all excited and Google crazy - I looked at Weather Underground, The Weather Channel, NOAA, Magic Seaweed, etc, etc reading every forecast I could find and trying to gather as much information about the projected storm track and possible strengthening of TS Colin when BAM! The Weather Channel is suddenly calling it the "remnants" of TS Colin - WHAT!!!???!!! This has been a long slow very much waveless summer other than a couple days on the SUP's and longboards - I thought we were gonna get some juice!! Alas no Colin has broken up into a mere rainy day. I'm still hoping that it will follow the same track that it was forecast to as a tropical storm and have enough punch to stir up the ocean and send us some surf but we'll have to see I suppose. The good news is that as a non-tropical system if it does send us some waves it won't be as blown up in the media and thus won't attract as many surfers. It's early - we've got plenty of time for waves!

Yep, I too was all excited thinking Colin may be a repeat of Hurricane Bill from last year who sent legendary surf to Coquina Beach during late August 2009! It was running the same track (the safe slot between Cape Hatteras and Bermuda), water temps out there are jet fuel for H development, but the atmosphere conditions killed it.
Oh well, its early in the season...!
Oh wait a sec - what do we have here... Colin II the resurrection?!?!?!
